The 8-year-old great-grandson of a prominent rabbi has died following an apparent boating accident, according to a report.

Yosef Goldman was out with his family in Haverstraw Bay Park, in Rockland County, when the boat overturned Friday, writes The Yeshiva World.

The site says the unconscious child was pulled from the water and transported to Nyack Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The youngster’s great-grandfather, Rabbi David Twersky, is considered the spiritual leader of New Square, New York, and of the Skverer dynasty of Hasidism as a whole.

The Rockland County Sheriff’s Office and Rockland Hatzolah declined to immediately comment.
