Green light on concerts
It’s good to have Mayor Bloomberg on your side.
Brooklyn Judge Kenneth Sherman issued a temporary injunction yesterday that could have signaled doom for Borough President Marty Markowitz’s $64 million amphitheater project for Coney Island and his longtime summer concert series at Asser Levy Park there.
But the mayor plans to sign into law a bill he pushed through the City Council this past week that allows Markowitz’s shows to go on beginning July 15.
