A Brooklyn building superintendent called 911 after finding a box in the basement that appeared to contain inert grenades and a mortar shell, cops said.

The NYPD’s Bomb Squad responded to 2220 Burnett St. in Sheepshead Bay at about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday to investigate, police said. The items belonged to a resident who lived in the building but had died.
