More than 100 New Yorkers died of COVID-19 on Christmas, new stats show.
The total coronavirus deaths Friday stood at 122 — the same number as the previous day‚ and 6,884 patients were hospitalized with the bug, Gov. Cuomo said.
Of those hospitalized, 2,384 were in New York City. The Big Apple had 29 percent of its hospital beds available.
The state’s positivity rate was 5.36% with 10,806 tests results coming back positive, Cuomo said.
