More than 400 friends and relatives held a candlelight vigil over the weekend for Gerardo “Jerry” Antoniello, who was killed last month protecting his pizzeria-owner dad from robbers.
Antoniello, 29, was shot in the head execution style at his family’s home in Ozone Park, Queens, on Sept. 9.
The family has raised $20,000 as a reward. Anyone with information about the is asked to call the 106th Precinct at (718) 845-2260 or the Crime Stoppers’ hot line, (800) 577-TIPS.
Heartbroken city cop Carmine Antoniello recalled his brother at the vigil.
“The night of the incident, Jerry did the only he could think of — protect his father at any cost,” he said. “He protected him with his life.”
