An Upper East Side woman says she scared off the serial groper who has attacked at least seven other women in the neighborhood.

Heather Kirkpatrick, 26, had exited the East 77th Street subway station early Sunday when the suspect asked her for directions, she said last night. As she was walking up the stairs in her building, she heard his footsteps.

“I wasn’t attacked,” she said. “He . . . went back downstairs when I looked at him.”
