A career criminal who was freed without bail on gun charges last summer was shot by police in the Bronx Friday, according to law enforcement sources.

Chase Lackard, a reputed member of the “Slutty Gang” was wounded at 755 White Plains Road in Clason Point shortly after 3 p.m. when cops responded to a dispute over a firearm, sources told The Post.

Lackard, whose name has not been officials released, was struck in the left leg and taken to Jacobi Hospital, where his wounds were described as serious.

Officers were not injured in the shooting, though one was sent to the hospital with tinnitus.

The suspect has four prior arrests, including one in August for toting a loaded revolver in Washington Heights.

Despite his past, he was freed the following month without posting bail.

The perpetrator was also the victim in a January 2023 shooting, according to sources.

The investigation is ongoing.
