Stunning surveillance video of a Bronx bodega robbery showed New York one of the real bad guys dividing the city — a gun-toting thug with a record and an anti-cop bent.

The NYPD on Tuesday identified Jason Polanco, 24, as the masked robber who wielded a hefty .44 Magnum revolver while holding up the Welcome 2 Yemen deli — then used it to shoot two cops minutes later Monday night.

The NYPD credited 29 tips from the public, including 10 that identified Polanco, with helping lead to his arrest Tuesday afternoon following the release of his photo from surveillance video.

A 35-second video clip of the robbery shows Polanco and an accomplice — allegedly Joshua Kemp, 28, a career criminal — wearing hoodies to hide their faces as they stormed into the bodega at 363 E. 180th St., sources said.

As Kemp allegedly jumped over the counter to rob the cash register, Polanco allegedly pulled out his gun and shoved another customer toward the counter, sources said.

The robbers fled while stripping off their outer layers of clothing to change their appearance.

Five 46th Precinct cops, who were just about to leave work, rushed out to answer the call.

But instead of heading to the scene, the cops began canvassing the area, Police Commissioner Bill Bratton said.

Near 184th Street and Tiebout Avenue, the cops saw Polanco and Kemp, who spotted them as well, Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce said.

Polanco immediately ducked into the Xin Xian Chinese takeout restaurant — “a clear sign something was amiss,” Boyce said.

As the cops approached Kemp to interview him, Polanco pulled out his pistol and fired a shot through the restaurant window, shattering it, Boyce said.

He then allegedly ran out and fired two more rounds, leaving Officers Andrew Dossi, 30, and Aliro Pellerano, 38, wounded.

One of Polanco’s bullets tore through Kemp’s right biceps before hitting one of the cops, Boyce said. Another cop, Michael Pomerantz, fired three shots, Boyce said.

Polanco then carjacked a white Camaro but crashed, then ran away, Boyce said.

He also tossed the pistol, which cops found and which records show was last legally sold in Colorado in 1983.

Kemp, a parolee with 10 robbery arrests, got a ride to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, where he sought treatment for his wound with a bogus claim that he’d been shot on Dyckman Street in upper Manhattan, Boyce said.

Polanco was preparing to flee the city when he and another man were nabbed by deputy US marshals and NYPD detectives around 12:30 p.m., a source said.

The third man, Elio Rivera, had nothing to do with the robbery or shooting.

Polanco has been busted three times for illegally possessing knives, Boyce said.

Polanco has repeatedly ranted online against cops, including posting an altered copy of Norman Rockwell’s famed 1936 painting, “Tom Sawyer Whitewashing the Fence.”

But in Polanco’s twisted version, the lad writes “F–K THE POLICE” in huge black letters, while a pal watching holds a silver, snub-nosed revolver.
