Authorities at JFK Airport scored a meaty bust when they discovered about 4 pounds of cocaine hidden in a passenger’s beef patties, officials said.

Chantal Alecia Bedward, a citizen of Jamaica, who arrived from the capital of Kingston on Tuesday, was carrying what appeared to be a box of Tastee brand Jamaican beef patties, officials said.

US Customs and Border Protection officers escorted her to a private search room, where the box was opened revealing a stash of 12 duct-taped packages.

The officers probed the packages and found a white powder that tested positive for cocaine with an estimated street value of $70,000.

Bedward was slapped with federal narcotics-smuggling charges and turned over to Department of Homeland Security authorities.

“This seizure demonstrates the vigilance and dedication demonstrated daily by CBP officers at JFK, in keeping these prohibited and dangerous narcotics off the streets of our communities,” agency official Robert E. Perez said.
