GZ cancer bombshell
Ground Zero first responders have gotten cancer at a rate 14 percent higher than a similar population, a doctor studying 9/11 workers said in bombshell testimony yesterday.
Mount Sinai’s Philip Landrigan, who monitors 20,000 cops, sanitation workers and other first responders, announced his overall findings to a federal scientific advisory committee.
The panel will recommend whether to include cancer among illnesses to be covered under the Zadroga Act for ailing first responders.
