The man behind a plan for the most controversial mosque in America isn’t satisfied with just Ground Zero.
Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf’s vision includes facilities in Indonesia and Kosovo, as well as centers in other American cities.
Rauf said he wasn’t deterred by angry protests and threats to burn the Koran over his efforts near Ground Zero.
He says he hopes to take advantage of the platform he gained through the angry debate to turn his small nonprofit group into a global movement celebrating pluralism.
