Freedom’s rising.

The tower at 1 World Trade Center has reached 64 stories and is growing by a story a week.

For the first time, the skyscraper rising from Ground Zero is visible from the New Jersey Turnpike, the West Side Highway, the Brooklyn Bridge and the Staten Island Ferry, Port Authority officials said.

The gleaming icon, between Vesey and West streets, will eventually stand 1,776 feet high (including its 408-foot antenna), or 104 stories.

It will be the tallest in the nation and the third tallest in the world.

“New Yorkers judge their city by their skyscrapers,” said PA Executive Director Chris Ward.

“Until they saw the building, the progress [at Ground Zero] wasn’t real for them. Now it’s topping up over other skyscrapers downtown. It’s becoming an exclamation point.”
