Tens of thousands of people marched in the Greenwich Village Halloween Parade Thursday night, as the wild tradition returned a year after it was canceled by Hurricane Sandy.

A light drizzle couldn’t stop marchers from strutting their stuff along Sixth Avenue in the annual parade, which went on this year only after an emergency fund-raising campaign.

Organizer Jeanne Fleming said the parade was revived after 900 donors shelled out cash to the group’s Kickstarter.com campaign, which raised the $55,000 needed for the event.
