The widow of famed Broadway composer Marvin Hamlisch is raising questions about his death last year.

Terre Blair Hamlisch filed court papers in Manhattan Supreme Court last week, asking a judge to force Columbia University Medical Center to turn over the results of blood tests done last year just prior to the musician’s death.

The prolific Hamlisch was 68 years old when he died unexpectedly Aug. 6 at UCLA Medical Center.

Hamlisch’s death certificate lists the official cause as respiratory arrest, hypertension, and “anoxic brain encephalopathy,” a medical term for brain damage caused by absence of oxygen. A spokeswoman for Columbia declined to comment.
