A handcuffed teenager who escaped police custody in Brooklyn on Wednesday afternoon was recaptured hours later, police said.
The 18-year-old gave cops the slip near Empire Blvd and New York Avenue in Crown Heights around 12:50 p.m. after being cuffed for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, officials said.
He was taken back into custody around 6 p.m.
