A construction worker died after he plummeted two stories from a Queens building with a rope around his neck Wednesday afternoon, cops said.
Witnesses told cops that they heard the worker having an argument on the phone before he appeared to have jumped from the roof of a seven-story building under renovation on 34th Street near Broadway in Astoria at about 12:50 p.m., police said.
First responders brought the man in through a fifth-floor window, police said. They performed First Aid and CPR on scene – but the worker died on his way to Astoria Hospital, cops said.
