The 24 New York-area Catholic students who will be serenading Pope Francis at Our Lady Queen of Angels School in East Harlem held their final dress rehearsal on Wednesday — belting out high notes as they prepared to impress their Holy Father during his visit.
“I’m practicing to hold myself together,” Queen of Angels principal Joanne Walsh said. “The emotions are starting to rise.”
The choir kids, selected in a lottery, will sing “The Peace Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi” during the pontiff’s 4 p.m. visit Friday.
