Hateful graffiti — including a swastika and profanities toward multiple ethnic groups — was found scrawled on the wall inside an NYU library in downtown Brooklyn this week, cops said.
The messages, written in pen on the wall of the Bern Dibner Library at 4 MetroTech Center, included “F–k Jews” and “F–k Indians,” according to a photo posted on Instagram by an on-campus Jewish group.
The vile scribblings also included anti-black messages, police said.

Fountain Walker, vice president for global campus safety at NYU, condemned the graffiti and said the NYPD deemed the incident a hate crime, according to Washington Square News, the university’s student paper.

“Our Department of Campus Safety, in conjunction with our Title VI coordinator, is vigorously investigating this incident.”
Those responsible will be subject to “the full weight” of NYU’s disciplinary actions, Walker said.
