The heat is on — again!

Con Ed and the union representing thousands of its workers continue to try to hammer out a contract — even as temperatures are forecast to hit the 90s anew this week.

They talked yesterday, but neither Con Ed nor Utility Workers Union of America Local 1-2 indicated there was any progress.

With 8,500 workers locked out since June 30, 5,000 managers are keeping the electricity going for 3.2 million customers in the city and Westchester County.
