A hunk of heating equipment fell from a ceiling at a work site in Midtown and smashed a worker’s leg, breaking it in two places.

The man has been rushed to Bellevue Hospital with compound fractures, authorities said.

The worker, believed to be in his early 50s, was inside a building at 380 Madison Ave at the time of accident.

The man is in serious condition, according to police.
