Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger is slated to receive the Intrepid Freedom Award for his distinguished career defending the values of freedom and democracy.
The ceremony will be held May 23 aboard New York City’s Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum.
Kissinger served under presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1973 and the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1977.
The ceremony also will honor David Koch. He’s executive vice president of Kansas-based Koch Industries, Inc.
Koch will be presented with the Salute Award in recognition of his business achievements and philanthropic work.
