Herculean tusk
ALBANY — Officials at the New York State Museum say a mastodon tusk found in the Hudson Valley may be the largest ever found in New York.
The tusk, measuring more than 9 feet long, was one of two excavated over the summer in Orange County. The other measures more than 5 feet.
