A missing New Jersey man surfaced briefly in Manhattan, where he was arrested for stealing a $2 bag of peanuts — then vanished again, police said yesterday.

Roger Temple, 44, was picked up for allegedly lifting a bag of peanuts from a Washington Heights drug store Sunday, but the NYPD, unaware he’d been missing since June 19, let him go.
