A high-ranking city official transformed into a superhero yesterday while trying to break up a domestic dispute in Grand Central Parkway traffic — subduing a suspect even after the official was hit by an SUV and sent sailing over a guardrail in Queens.

Ameer Khairullah and his wife, Bebe, began fighting at 7:30 a.m. as the woman was driving the couple’s Toyota 4Runner in the westbound center lane of the parkway near 168th Street in Jamaica Estates, police said.

Ameer, 51, allegedly punched the 44-year-old woman, and she fell onto the parkway.

Buildings Department Deputy Commissioner of Enforcement Eugene Corcoran jumped out of his Ford Escape as the 4Runner rolled over the woman’s legs.

The SUV then hit Corcoran’s vehicle, which bumped him over a divider, said Buildings Department spokesman Tony Sclafani.

Corcoran scrambled to his feet and placed Ameer in handcuffs given to him by firefighter Edward Tucker.

Ameer was charged with two counts of assault. His wife was in stable condition at Jamaica Hospital, police said.
