Kane crime
A gun-toting mugger held up a 27-year-old woman on Kane Street on Oct. 3.
The perp pulled a black handgun on the victim near Hicks Street at around 8:55 pm and said, “Give me everything.”
The victim handed over her a purse containing an ID, umbrella, keys, credit cards, and a cellphone.
Weapons arrests
Cops locked up at least two perps who were carrying illegal weapons. Here are the gritty details:
• Police charged a suspect with felony weapons possession when he was found in possession of brass knuckles at Mill and Henry streets on Sept. 30.
Officer Maggie Clamp spotted a suspect carrying the brawling weapon at around 6:53 pm and placed him under arrest.
• Officer Adam Feder nabbed a perp with an illegal firearm on Hoyt Street between Baltic and Butler streets after noticing what he dubbed a “suspicious bulge” in his pants on Oct. 1.
The cop struggled with the 33-year-old suspect and recovered a gun from his right pocket in the 8:40 pm incident, police reports indicate.
Coach filched
A thief grabbed a 25-year-old woman’s Coach bag on Warren Street on Oct. 2.
The culprit grabbed the designer purse — which contained an iPhone — at around 11:45 pm and fled from the block between Smith and Court streets.
Buick burgled
A car thief heisted a Buick from the corner of Smith and Baltic streets overnight on Sept. 30.
The crook stole the maroon four-door sedan between 7 pm and 7 am the following morning, when the 27-year-old victim returned to the parking spot only to find a different vehicle in the space.
