The owner of a Chelsea auto shop featured in yesterday’s Post — who says he’s being squeezed out because of the High Line — had his rent check rejected by the landlord yesterday.
“[He] said, ‘I’m your friend, I’m not your enemy, but you’ve got to leave,’ ” said Alan Brownfeld of Brownfeld Auto Service on West 29th Street. “I said, ‘Here’s the check.’ And he said, ‘I don’t want the check.’ I said, ‘Call my lawyer.’ ”
