A man wanted for a hit-and-run crash outside Philadelphia was pulled off a flight at JFK as he tried to flee to his native Ireland, police said.

Damian Crossan, 28, was escorted off the Dublin-bound flight Wednesday night. Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood said Crossan confessed to hitting the 32-year-old woman on Feb. 2.

Chitwood said investigators received a tip that Crossan was responsible. The injured woman remains in serious condition with injuries to her head, brain and hips.
