An off-duty police detective crossing the street was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Queens Wednesday night.
The Housing cop, who is stationed in Brooklyn, was crossing at Cooper Avenue and 80th Street in Middle Village when he was injured, sources said.
He suffered a head laceration and was recovering at Jamaica Hospital.
Police were searching for the driver early Thursday morning.
