A hit-and-run driver struck a 6-year-old girl while she was crossing the street in the Bronx Tuesday afternoon, police said.

The girl was crossing the street at Harrod Avenue near East 172nd Street at about 5 p.m. when the driver hit her and then drove away, cops said.

Medics rushed the girl to Jacobi Hospital with broken bones in her face, sources said. She’s expected to make a full recovery.

The girl’s mother dropped her off at the corner of the intersection before she was hit, police sources said. It was not immediately clear if she was walking with anyone while crossing the street.

Police are looking for the driver, but a description of the car was not immediately available.
