The members of Alpha Epsilon Pi can be seen in a short Snapchat video holding the animal upside down while pouring beer into the pup’s mouth — a stunt commonly referred to as a “keg stand,” according to school officials.

A spokeswoman for Hofstra said that the drinking incident took place off-campus and the fraternity is suspended as an investigation takes place.

“The behavior seen on the video is unacceptable and in violation of the University’s Code of Community Standards,” the spokeswoman, Karla Schuster, said in a statement.

“The University has been in communication with Alpha Epsilon Pi International headquarters, as well as with chapter members regarding this off-campus incident. In accordance with University policy, the chapter has been placed on interim suspension pending an investigation.”

Another Long Island college student obtained the video and posted it on Facebook and Twitter to being attention to the cruelty.

“So apparently it’s okay to force dogs to drink beer even though it can kill them????” Kristina Proscia wrote.

She later added: “I simply shared this to protect the dog and to show I do not support this and this is not an accurate representation of Greek Life.”

Hofstra said they are attempting to identify the students in the video and they may be subject to additional penalties.
