The revel began at Public School 198, 4105 Farragut Road, and continued at nearby Paerdegat Park, where mom, dad and the kids joined their neighbors and community leaders for a program of celebration, hosted by Community Board 17, featuring the illumination of a Yuletide pine, an electric menorah and a Kwanzaa candelabra.

The park is located along Albany Avenue, between Farragut Road and Foster Avenue.
