Holiday’s fine finish
It may not feel like summer, but it’ll at least feel like spring for Memorial Day.
After rainy, cool and windy weather early in the weekend, the sun is expected to shine today for a 77-degree high with clear skies.
That’s good news for New York’s eight public beaches, which officially reopened this weekend after more than $270 million in repairs from Hurricane Sandy damage.
Government offices, schools and financial markets will be closed today. Sunday parking rules will be in effect, and there will be no trash pickups.
Subways and buses will run on a Sunday schedule.
