These birds apparently like to proceed with caution, which is why they are rebuilding their nest twig by twig inside the yellow light of a Central Park traffic signal. Someone removed the original nest in early April.
The pole-mounted perch sits 8 feet above the corner of East 72nd Street and Fifth Avenue.
It takes each bird about 10 to 15 minutes to replace a single twig.
