The homeless carjacker who went on a crime spree, speeding through Manhattan in high-end cars was ordered held on $100,000 bail by a judge on Sunday.
Aludein Marks “went on what can only be described as a crime spree … starting on Fifth Avenue in the 70s and ending at City Hall,” Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Ana Sophia Radolinski said during her arraignment.
“She stole four different vehicles … pushing one driver out of a car and dragging him for a few seconds,” Radolinski said. “She caused mayhem on the FDR, hitting multiple cars in the median before flipping her own car.”
The 25-year-old, wearing yellow pants and a green camo hoodie, appeared in Manhattan Criminal Court Sunday afternoon before Judge Thomas Farber, who set bail.
Marks, who allegedly admitted to being drunk and high on cocaine on Friday evening, stole four cars — including three Mercedes-Benzes — and smashed into nearly 20 vehicles, according to authorities.
The 30-minute spree, authorities say, started at Fifth Avenue and E. 74th Street where she jumped in the passenger seat of a Mercedes-Benz, forced the driver out and barreled down the road toward the FDR.
After she smashed her first Benz, she hopped in a black G-class SUV and headed down the FDR service road before smashing another high-end whip near E. 34th Street, police said.
Marks then boosted her third Benz and drove the luxury vehicle down to E. 26th Street — where cops said she jacked her fourth ride, a silver Toyota Camry.
The joyride came to an end around 7:45 p.m. near City Hall where she crashed into a barrier, according to police.
She was arrested and charged with three counts of robbery, four counts of grand larceny auto, driving while intoxicated and operating a vehicle while drug-impaired.
