A homeless pair believed to be a couple has been busted for the fatal stabbing of a man in Hell’s Kitchen, police sources said Tuesday.
David Gamble and Chantel Davis in court.PoolDavid Gamble, 54, and Chantel Davis, 39, were busted on murder charges in the death of the man, whose identity has not been released, authorities said.
Gamble was slapped with an additional charge of criminal possession of a weapon.
The victim’s bloodied body was discovered in the middle of West 46th Street near Ninth Avenue by a cabbie who was driving through the area shortly before 3 a.m. Monday, cops said.
After the hack called 911, first responders found the man — who was in his 30s — unconscious and unresponsive with a stab wound to the left side of his chest and trauma to the left side of his face, according to police.
According to sources, the victim first encountered Davis inside the vestibule of a nearby building.
Surveillance footage shows the woman walking out of the vestibule and then Gamble walking in before the mortally wounded victim is seen stumbling out onto the street, sources say.
Cops say Gamble and Davis reside at a nearby controversial homeless shelter a block away at 317 W. 45th St. dubbed the Aladdin Hotel.
Hell’s Kitchen resident Gus Haritos previously told The Post that he had heard “yelling” in the middle of the night around the time of the stabbing.
A motive for the slaying was not immediately known.
