The city’s homeless crisis has stretched into some of Manhattan’s most affluent neighborhoods.
The number of families from the Chelsea and Midtown areas entering homeless shelters increased from 46 in 2013 to 79 in 2015, according to an analysis by the Citizens’ Committee for Children of New York.
The Upper West Side saw its total bump up from 58 to 87 over the same period.
