She’s the pizza angel.

Actor Richard Gere called the woman who gave him food without realizing he was playing the role of a homeless man “an angel,” the director of his new movie says.

The generous gal — who bought the star pizza without recognizing him on the set near Grand Central Terminal — greatly moved the actor, who in turn gave the grub to crew members on the set of his new movie, “Time Out of Mind.”

“He was very touched . . . He said, ‘Ya know, she was like an angel’. He was in character, so obviously he was feeling like a guy who lives on the street,” said director Oren Moverman.

“When she came over, he said he felt like an angel gave him a gift,” Moverman said.

The mystery do-gooder “sounded French” and was probably a tourist, Moverman said.

Gere, who rode the subway Friday in character, declined to comment.
