A homeless man was busted this week for allegedly stabbing a stranger with a fork and pepper-spraying him outside a Chelsea Salvation Army in broad daylight three months ago, cops said.

Digones Brito, 25, was arrested Tuesday in connection to the April 10 attack on a 50-year-old man on Eighth Avenue near West 21st Street, authorities said.

The victim was inside a Salvation Army store around 2:30 p.m. when Brito approached and said, “What are you doing? Why are you doing that?,” according to police.

When the victim left the store, the suspect followed him outside, stabbed him in the arm with a fork and sprayed him with some pepper spray on a keychain before taking off, cops said.

EMS responded and treated the victim for his injuries on the scene.

Brito was charged with second-degree assault and criminal possession of a weapon following the Tuesday arrest.
