An icepick-wielding attacker plunged the tool into a stranger’s chest during a robbery this week on a Queens subway train, police sources told The Post.

Cops arrived to the Ozone Park/Lefferts Boulevard A train station around 7:45 p.m. to find the victim with a stab wound to his torso, an NYPD spokesman said.

The man told officers he’d been approached, punched and also stabbed with “an unknown pointed object” by the unidentified attacker, who then ran off with his wallet, the spokesman said.

The victim, who gave his address as a Manhattan homeless shelter, was “highly intoxicated” and did not remember all the details, police sources said.

He was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center and was expected to make a full recovery, sources said.

It was not clear what led to the attack, according to cop sources. The wallet contained the man’s ID, an EBT card and $20 cash, sources said.

The victim told cops he’d been waiting aboard the train to return when his assailant approached and attacked, sources said.

An MTA worker reported seeing the victim without any injuries while clearing the train of passengers, sources said — only to find him moments later bleeding from his face and stomach in a different train car.

No arrests have been made.
