One person was burned after a hot dog cart went up in flames on a Midtown street on Tuesday evening, fire officials said.
The cart erupted on Sixth Avenue near West 45th Street at about 7 p.m. Firefighters knocked down the flames a short while later, the FDNY said.
One person suffered minor burns in the fire and was transported to Bellevue Hospital.
After the flames were extinguished, a cart worker said it was likely an electrical fire, possibly caused by the cart’s LED lights that advertise chicken, kebabs and other food.

The cart’s umbrella and lights were charred after the flames spread around the cart.
