The Hotel Chelsea — which has offered lodging over the years to names like Bob Dylan, Andy Warhol, Arthur Miller and Eugene O’Neill — is for sale.

It’s also where Sid Vicious allegedly stabbed his girlfriend to death in 1978.

The building’s board announced its intent to sell yesterday. It’s been owned for more than 65 years by the same families.
