A Bronx man who allegedly shot his wife on Christmas morning while his kids slept and then fled to Maryland was charged Tuesday with attempted murder.

Rafael Herrera fired two shots at Yadira Saavedra Perea, left her bleeding and “walked out as if it were a routine day,” Assistant DA Kathryn Falasca said.

Herrera had previously threatened to kill his wife while showing her a picture of a firearm, prosecutors said.
