The husband of a former Brooklyn DA detective — fired for allegedly shoplifting at a Long Island Walmart last month — punched a news photographer Thursday after his wife pleaded not guilty to trying to steal $247.12 from the store.
Allen Crockwell and ex-DA detective Brenda Sandiford Crockwell rushed out of the Nassau County Courthouse wearing sunglasses.
Allen Crockwell, after trying to push a Post photographer, punched a photographer for the Long Island Examiner in the chest while the couple’s lawyer Dino Amoroso yelled, “Stop it! Stop it!”
Brenda Crockwell, half-sister of the man who died running from a white mob in Howard Beach nearly 30 years ago, was hired after the tragedy.
