The Hudson Hotel on West 58th Street, one of the city’s iconic boutique lodges, is continuing its revamp with the launch of a new tequila bar.
The Hudson Bar, which comes on the heels of Umami Burger opening in the hotel over the summer, is a 1,700-square-foot, split-level space with 114 seats.
Its new theme is modern Mexico, inspired by blue agave fields and tequila-based cocktails, said Sam Nazarian, founder and CEO of sbe, a hospitality company that manages and operates hotels, restaurants and nightclubs.
Curated cocktails and tequilas will include Cucumber Jalapeño Margarita with Casamigos Blanco tequila, fresh lime juice simple syrup, muddled cucumbers and jalapeño, served on the rocks with cucumber and jalapeño garnish; Anejo New Fashioned, with Casamigos Anejo tequila, agave nectar, and orange and angostura bitters, served on the rocks with brandied cherries; and Manzanita, with mezcal, Avión tequila, apple cider, lemon juice, and ginger beer, served on the rocks with a spicy salt rim.
