A bag of what appears to be human bones was found at a New Jersey snack stand that overlooks the Hudson River, a report said Monday.
Employees at the State Line Lookout cafe in Alpine found the bag of bones hanging on a door when they arrived for work at about 8 a.m., the Bergen County Record reported.
They called police, who determined the remains were similar to human bones, according to the report.
The bones were not immediately identified, but Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cold Case Unit and Bergen County Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating the find.
Last week, a man jumped to his death from the overlook near the snack shop where the bones were found.
