A human leg was found “protruding” from a dumpster in Queens Wednesday, police said.

The NYPD was called to the TD Bank at 164th Street and Union Turnpike in Hillcrest around 6:30 p.m. after a witness discovered the mutilated remains.

The leg was sticking out from a giant red container in the bank’s parking lot, according to police.

Sources said the body part was found covered with maggots.

Investigators were checking to see if surveillance cameras in the area captured anyone dumping remains into the dumpster, according to sources.

The body part will be handed over the medical examiner’s office.

Few other details surrounding the gruesome discovery were available — including the gender of the victim and the extent of their bodily trauma.

A spokesperson for TD Bank declined to comment.
