A hulking career mugger is heading to prison for at least 18 years for robbing two terrified moms with an ice pick in separate attacks in Stuyvesant Town elevators last December.

John Martinez’s sentencing also covers the November 2010 knife-point mugging of a third woman in an elevator at Peter Cooper Village, and the attempted robbery of a fourth woman who refused to get into a Stuy Town elevator with him.
