An iconic New Jersey deli featured in the upcoming prequel to “The Sopranos” was damaged in a fire this week, but the owners plan to partially reopen on Wednesday.

Flames tore through Hobby’s Delicatessen & Restaurant in downtown Newark at about 2 p.m. on Monday, the restaurant’s owners said in a Facebook post.

“Newark’s bravest came promptly and extinguished the fire quickly and professionally,” they wrote in the post. “You guys are fantastic! You saved our bacon!”

The cast of “The Many Saints of Newark” — the feature-length prequel to HBO’s classic New Jersey-mob show — filmed on the streets outside of the location in May.

The film crew transformed the streets outside the deli to resemble the 1960s, but Hobby’s classic neon sign didn’t need to be changed, NJ.com reported.

Marc Brummer, whose family has owned the deli for more than 60 years, told NJ.com that the fire appeared to have started in the roof among electrical wiring.

In another Facebook post on Tuesday, the owners said they would be open for delivery and takeout business.

“You can’t keep a good deli down!” the post reads.
