A former “American Idol” star who caused a national stir in 2007 by posing in a wet T-shirt at a World War II Memorial in Washington was busted for allegedly shoplifting gloves in Manhattan, The Post has learned.

Antonella Barba, 24, was skulking out of the Urban Outfitters on Broadway near West Houston Street last Dec. 29 when she tripped an electronic surveillance device, police sources said.

A security guard grabbed the Jersey girl, searched her pocketbook and found the stolen gloves, worth all of $18.81, authorities said.

The sexy brunette was charged with two misdemeanors. Her lawyer, Keith Sullivan, declined comment.

She was sentenced to one day of community service.
