This lawsuit sure struck a sour note with the Boss.

Rock legend Bruce Springsteen wants his name taken off the suit demanding fees from a Midtown bar where cover bands play his tunes.

The suit against Connolly’s Pub on West 45th Street was filed in Springsteen’s name by the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, but he said it was acting on its own.

“Bruce Springsteen had no knowledge of this lawsuit, was not asked if he would participate as a named plaintiff, and would not have agreed to do so if he had been asked,” said a statement on his Web site.

He “demanded the immediate removal of his name from the lawsuit.”

ASCAP’s lawyers didn’t return calls. Connolly’s had no comment.
